in this time of virtual networking, internet is a must! so, nevermind kung hindi na kayo nag uusap sa bahay dahil kanya kanya kayong gamit ng laptop at mobile phone using wifi… nevermind na sa facebook nyo nalang nababasa ang comment nila sa mga pictures mo… nevermind na dati bonding moment nyo ang dinnertime, pero ngayon cut short na ang eating time nyo na dating 1 to 2 hours to 30mins kasi atat na kayong mag internet…

so what happens when internet is down??? what to do? what to do?

1. blame it on pldt – nagbayad naman tayo… bakit??? mmmm bakit nga ba?
2. watch the telenobelas
3. walk around the village
4. read a book
5. sleep early – like one i know

kung isa kong housemate na certified tv-addict, syempre nag tv, yung isa namin kasama, na depress… natulog… ako, nagbasa ulit ng books :-)

top 5 eraserheads the final set experience

my recap – eraserheads the final set…

1. the opening song was magasin! one of my favorites! the crowd wet wild, meron pang fire works sa stage! binago pa ni ely ang lyrics …. “pero pangit ka pa nun… hanggang ngayon…”, i was hoping they would start the concert with this song and they did! then after several songs… raimund handling over his drumsticks to jazz of itchyworms band to sang lead in insomya, alkohol and slo mo. he’s the one with the most energy among the four i would say during that night. he would ran from one end of the stage to the other and even sing very close to ely and they would share a mike! siguro nga talagang they have finally called truce and have set aside differences. they made a lot of fans happy with this

2. kita sa concert that it was thoughtfully staged with great consideration for ely’s condition : they started the 2nd set lounging, they did accoustic versions fo julietearjerky and pare ko. para tuloy sobrang nostalgic ang dating when they sang pare ko that way. one time in the concert, ely shouted — okay lang ba kayo? crowd — OO! then some would shout back — ikaw ba okay lang??? hehehehe… mukha namang okay sya.

3. different renditions of their all time hits : kailan – with only the piano playing, kayang kaya pa rin ni ely even thought kitang kita na pagod na sya, minsan – nostalgic again when they sang this because this is one of my favorites again being a dorm girl myself, overdrive - meron fire works sa stage! (raimund smiled when the first spark happened, he was obviously pleased), alapaap - i have never heard it performed this good ever at syempre ang huling el bimbo – which was their finale (not!) and lasted for 6 minutes tops! they sang it like it will be the last time they will. 

4. the crowd is composed of a sea (yes dears, ganun kadami) of fanatics who sang together with the band song after song. ely need not say – sing! kanta! kayo naman! because almost everyone knew the song by heart. everyone knew and is waiting for superproxy but is not sure how they will considering they are planning to sing this with francis m (rip), so when they did, the crowd went wild and sang with them. ely and raimund did the rap part together. they even sang francis’ kaleidoscope world.

5. the best treat of all was when the final finale (oo meron nun). after huling el bimbo, when all the fireworks are done, ely had said thank you, we are the eraserheads! they gathered together akbay-akbay, tapos yung giant screens back to mtv promo videos na naman, we were on our way out bumili lang muna kami ng iinumin, biglang si raimund said — gusto nyo pa ba?, then andun na si buddy, mamya sabi ni raimund, tawagin nyo si ely then andun na si ely then sabi tawagin nyo si markus. the crowd went wild again! we see ely, raimund and buddy talking on what to play. finally sabi ni ely – three for the road. they performed with ely just singing nalang - ligaya, sembreak ang toyang. such a treat!

top 5 things i really like about seoul (so far)…

alam ko naman swerte ako sa trabaho ko kahit madalas puro whining ang nababasa nyo sa blog na to. but really, love ko naman work ko (kaya nga andito pa din ako), ma-reklamo lang talaga ako by nature ;-) … isa sa pinaka love ko is the opportunity to travel! ang last stop ko? seoul!

super super super excited ako nung papunta ako dun. start ng winter nun. malamigin na tao ako, pero kinaya ko naman sya. wala kasing snow nun. plus mahilig ako sobra sa korea-nobela madami akong kilalang korean artist sa kakanood ng mga korea-nobela na yan.

pag land palang ng plane, ang mata ko hindi na mapakali. paglabas ko ng airport to wait for the shuttle bus on the way sa hotel, grabe ang lamig nga! -2degrees daw nun eh. so… ayun ang taba ko na nga nag-add pa ng 4 more lbs ang ga suot ko.

so ano ba ang top 5 things i like about seoul?

1. korean way of dining

of course isa sa mga gusto kong gawin is to try a reastaurant na uupo kami sa sahig while eating – korean way of dining nga. pati ang paggamit namin n chopsticks at spoon authentic. luckily andun sa seoul mga dating officemates ko, so meron akong mga pinoys na kasama

2. korean food

needless to say paborito ko ang grilled meat nila that you wrap in lettuce tapos kakainin with kimchi and other grilled vegetables. yummy! i ate this 3x while i was there! mahilig ang koreans sa vegetables kaya ang gaganda ng kutis nila. tapos you can request for more leaves kung naubusan na kayo.

ang flavored milk na yan is a treasure find sa isa sa mga convenient store nila. naka 4 or limang container ata ako (pero plastic ang container na to, sad… sad…). chestnut and moccachino flavored milk? try it and sarap! i miss it already….

3. mga dahon na nahulog na sa puno

diba nga first time ko, so i was really amazed with these fallen leaves. hindi basura ang tingin ko sa kanina unlike dito sa atin ( i will start to look at it differently na rin). some were colored brown, some were red, and ito naman yellow the first time i saw them was the early morning ride ko to the office. ganda!

4. korean celebrities

 siguro kasi addict ako dati (mmmm siguro until now) sa mga korea nobelas dito sa pilipinas. so kilala ko sila halos lahat kahit nga sa mga souvenir shops meron ako kasabay na singaporean kids at ang binili nilang souvenirs eh yung meron mga print ng mukha ng mga to. hehehe… at… for the first time, na enjoy ko ang local channel ng city in the hotel i’m staying. as in kahit hindi ko sila naiintindihan, parang alam ko din sinasabi nila

5. lettuce flowers/leaves/plants (kung ano man sya…)

first time i saw them, i thought flower of some kind. then i saw them again and again… i removed my gloves and touched them… lettuce sya, crisp and fresh! parang ang sarap kainin no?

5 things to do when you’re sick and at home and bored

1. lie in bed – relax, sleep and rest…. (ginawa ko na to… i slept and woke up to take medicine, slept again woke up and took medicine… ayoko na matulog ulit, mamya naman pag totoong tulugan na!)

2. watch tv… (ginawa ko na din ulit… hindi ko kinayang manood ng wowowee – no thanks!)

3. read a book… natapos ko na ang isang novel ni james patterson, kainis naman bitin! as in abangan ang part 2!

4. surf the internet – do online shopping… ginawa ko for 2hours, hay depressing! i can’t afford the things i like! hehehe…

5. write a blog about it — matulog nalang nga ako ulit!
