how? by simply clicking on the widget and doing a very simple activity. it will only take not more than 2 minutes of your time… easy diba?

WWF%20Logo

my chosen organization is world wildlife fund – an international organization dedicated to evironmental conservation by protecting the nature for more than 45 years now.

so, this requests you to help me raise funds for wwf by doing this simple social vide acitivity, every hit you make is a corresponding donation to wwf.

chuvaness : Why does a single tablet need to placed in a plastic bag?

why indeed?!!!

i have read somewhere that your re-useable/eco bag used 2x a week for 2 years saves up to 832 plactic bags which is equivalent to 11 lbs of garbage and enough petroleum to drive you 60miles.

food for thought today and tomorrow and everytime you are given a plastic bag :)

gandhi

October 3, 2009 · 1 Comment

sa google kahapon…

ghandi

words that made him famous and big as he is now…

Be the change you want to see in the world.

Whenever you are confronted with an opponent. Conquer him with love.

There is nothing that wastes the body like worry, and one who has any faith in God should be ashamed to worry about anything whatsoever.

Prayer is not asking. It is a longing of the soul. It is daily admission of one’s weakness. It is better in prayer to have a heart without words than words without a heart.

and while i was browsing through treehugger (one of my favorite blogs)… i bumped into this article – what would ghandi do? centainly not buy a luxury fountain pen.

He was speaking from his own experience as an activist and visionary. This vision continues to motivate people today. Whether fighting for climate change, creating innovative systems to help the underprivileged, or rebuilding a more local and sustainable world, people embrace Gandhi’s image and philosophy as a guiding framework.

For environmentalists, it’s not only his simple lifestyle that is a touchstone. His belief that change can only be motivated by embracing truth is also valuable in an age dominate by a debate over the severity of climate change and resource use. Commenting on the nature of progress, Gandhi said that:

Speed is irrelevant if you are going in the wrong direction.

gandhi's grandson holding the commemorative pen..

gandhi's grandson holding the commemorative pen..

ironic nga naman. why would his grandson think that an expensive montblanc pen would be a good way to remember him?

the description up close

the random wrinkling of the bag symbolizes the cracks of Mother Earth caused by our collective abuse. but here’s good news : choose to reuse, reduce and recycle resources today, and we can help reverse the effect in 10 years. made with love, repurposed canvass and tarpaulin, this reuseable tote by michi calica works and looks better than any plastic bag.

we reuse em' all

the bag’s underside is made of re-used tarpaulins to further promote waste management. michi calica’s choice is the earth day network.

starbucks on going green

September 18, 2008 · Leave a Comment

kanina sa starbucks while waiting sa order ko and counting kung ilang calories na naman kaya ito at kaya ko bang i burn yun by walking from there to the office building… i saw this signage by the condiments bar…

A world of good is less than a handful…

———————-

Please be mindful of the amount of paper napkins you use to help us reduce our carbon footprint.

One tumbler used in place of One disposable cup can help reduce millions in paper and plastic consumption.

For joining us in this cause, we’ll take P40 off the price of your beverage when you use your thumbler…

sana din maalala ko na bitbitin ang tumbler ko everytime bibili ako sa starbucks (hay… memory gap).
