the appeal by john grisham

hindi ako halos nakatulog ng maayos kagabi  

kasi naman i’ve been reading this book. the appeal by john grisham.

the story was about a lawsuit against a chemical company who was blamed for a lot of deaths in the nearby town where they have their plants built. eventually, negligence became rampant, the water that people drink started to become polluted and people started getting sick and eventually people start to die. medyo taxing basahin kasi it is about politics and how up to present law suits against multi-billion-companies still getaway with gross negligence as long as they hire the best lawyers and buy their way in the verdict. it is about their appeal to the supreme court and how the big companies played dirty politics and hired eqaully dirty people to have a supreme court judge elected for their own benefit and agenda.

almost 6 chapters to the end, nainip na ko ang skipped and read the last chapter – yup yup! i cheated! oo na! naiinip ako eh. hindi ko gusto ang ending an i end up feeling bad about me cheating on reading a book (mind you nangyayari alng to kapag hindi ko na gusto ang takbo ng story) and how the book ended. hay…

favorite ko namang author si john grisham pero, what happened to this book? well, this is just me… siguro hindi ko lang gusto ang story line and maybe i have read too many grisham books (13 todate) it has become too familiar already?
